I’m Utkarsh. By day, I’m a Technology Platform Owner working in cybersecurity—specifically vulnerability management. I build architectures that scale across a million-plus assets, wiring together APIs, scanners, and automation to ensure enterprise systems don’t quietly collapse. Lately, that also means dissecting what “security” and “architecture” actually mean in the age of AI.

By night, I study systems that predate silicon by a few thousand years.

I spend a significant amount of time with Vedic astrology, planetary transits, and the Panchang. Most people see a hard line between enterprise tech and ancient spirituality. I don’t. A vulnerability scanner and a birth chart are fundamentally doing the same thing: trying to read, map, and navigate a complex system you don’t fully control.

Terminal Monk is where these two realities live side-by-side. It serves as my read-only node on the internet, split into three directories:

  • /technical — Root-level notes on security, automation, AI architecture, and making things work efficiently.
  • /spiritual — Reflections on astrology, stillness, and the variables that don’t show up in a stack trace.
  • /rants — Unbuffered output on whatever annoyed me enough to write down.

There are no comment sections here. No ad trackers, no analytics, no algorithmic bloat. This is a static site built with Hugo and deployed to the edge. It’s designed to be fast, minimal, and entirely out-of-band. I write to output my thoughts, not to manage replies.
